Lucid Recruitment is always looking towards the future and trying to establish what technology can help improve systems and processes. In recent months everyone seems to be talking about ChatGPT which is an incredible new bit of AI technology available to the open market.

We decided the best way to judge if AI or ChatGPT is going to take over the recruitment industry is to ask it. Here’s the answer…

It's unlikely that ChatGPT or any other AI technology will completely take over the recruitment industry. While AI can help automate certain aspects of the recruitment process, such as CV screening and candidate sourcing, there are still many important aspects of recruitment that require human judgment and interaction.

Recruitment involves a range of tasks that require human skills, such as building relationships with candidates and clients, evaluating cultural fit, and assessing soft skills such as communication and teamwork. While AI can help automate some of the more time-consuming and repetitive aspects of recruitment, it cannot replace the importance of human interaction and decision-making in the hiring process.

Furthermore, AI technology is not perfect and can have biases or make errors if not trained properly. It's important to recognize that AI should be used as a tool to support and enhance the recruitment process, not to replace it entirely.
